Elisa Carpanese is the wife of Filippo Gamba, the owner of the Alla Costiera winery in the Colli Euganei. While he grew up among the vines, it was through him that she first became interested in wine. Initially, she dealt with the bureaucracy alongside a 40-hour job away from the wine industry and work as a mother. After giving notice and growing up, she recently started her own project.
Although it would have been easy to market her two wines under the name "Alla Costiera", this would also have freed her from the responsibility of having to stand up for them - although she could have done so with a clear conscience: Because her Bora Bianco, a cuvée of the two grape varieties Tai Bianco and Riesling, can easily hold its own with the best white wines in its weight class (welterweight): Inviting and animating, it captivates with white flower and fruit flavours, subtle herbal notes and fine minerality. It is full-bodied, juicy, taut and straightforward, with a balanced and persistent finish.
