The Wines of Nevio Scala
Nevio Scala was a midfielder at Fiorentina and Milan and won the European Cup as a coach with Parma. After spells in Dortmund, St. Petersburg and Moscow, he became a farmer and switched from the football pitches of the world to the grain fields and olive groves of Lozzo Atestino, the village in the Colli Euganei where he grew up and where his father already had a farm and rented land. Nevio has since bought this and added a few hectares of forest and vineyards, where he produces brilliant white, red and sparkling wines together with his son Claudio.
