The Wines of Pruneto

Pruneto is a small winery located in Volpaia, a tiny village within the municipal boundaries of Radda in Chianti. Three hectares are planted with vines, two with olive trees, and another twenty hectares consist of forest and meadows. Massimiliano Lanza produces two high-quality wines here that are exemplary of the renowned Tuscan region: a balanced and subtle Chianti Classico, and a somewhat fuller-bodied yet remarkably intense Riserva. In addition to Sangiovese, the local grape varieties Colorino and Canaiolo are also used. The vineyard has always been managed with deep respect for nature, and in the cellar, the wines are crafted with the utmost artisanal care, without the use of chemical additives.
