Klinec Red Blend
Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc. These names might conjure thoughts of standardized, uninspiring wines. However, this blend is anything but. It’s a unique, site-expressive, fiery, and refined creation—worlds apart from the soft-edged, homogenized Bordeaux blends.
Aleks Klinec's meticulous vineyard practices continue in the cellar, where the three varieties are initially aged separately in 225-liter used cherrywood barrels for one year. Afterward, they are combined in large Slavonian oak barrels, where they mature together for an additional three years.
The result is a profound and juicy wine that combines power and structure with vertical elegance, carried by ripe red fruit and dark, spicy aromas.
