Wines from Italy
Italy has around 700,000 hectares of vineyards spread across all 20 regions. The geological and climatic differences are eminent. There is more than just one world between South Tyrol and Sicily. In addition, there are around 500 different grape varieties, countless viticultural traditions and a multitude of excellent winegrowers who interpret them in their own personal way. So there is a lot to discover. In our range, we pay tribute to this diversity and combine it with personal preferences - knowing full well that we can unfortunately only offer a fraction of what would actually be worthwhile.
Aldo Viola, Saignée 2020
Wein
- €21,80
Although Aldo Viola's home is in Sicily, he frequently looks beyond the island, especially towards France. This is made easier by his personal connection, as he has lived there several times and practically absorbed the language with his mother's milk (his mother is from France). The Saignée is a...

Tenuta Grillo: Pratoasciutto 2006
Wein
- €26,80
Dolcetto takes center stage here, with no other variety vying for attention. The wine is aged in old vats, fermented with its own yeasts, and undergoes a lengthy maceration period of 40 days. Rocco di Carpeneto: Losna 2018
Wein
- €17,20
Dolcetto is a fantastic grape variety with one significant challenge: it exists in the shadow of Nebbiolo. Consequently, in Alba and its surroundings, every decent vineyard is planted with Nebbiolo. Dolcetto—along with Grignolino, Barbera, Freisa, and others—is often relegated to vineyards where ...

Aldo Viola, Egesta 2019
Wein
- €31,90
Egesta is one of the most outstanding white wines of Sicily. It is made from 100% Grillo, a variety that is closely associated with Sicily, yet it seems it didn’t originally come from the island. Pranzegg: C ----- LL 2019
Wein

C——–L: The Hidden Vineyard Name The dash between C and L on the wine label isn’t a whimsical artistic choice by a bored winemaker. Instead, it serves to conceal the name of the vineyard, CAMPILL, the home vineyard of the Pranzegg estate, which has been in Martin Gojer’s family for generations...
