The Wines of Bergianti
Gianluca Bergianti makes wine, while his wife Simona is responsible for the agricultural production of Terrevive, their joint project, which they started in the mid-2000s. From the very beginning, cultivation has been based on biodynamic principles, with Gianluca and Simona favouring the term traditional. The ampelographic focus is on Salamino and Sorbara, the two Lambrusco varieties of the region, which are complemented by the white Pignoletto and soon also by a little Trebbiano Modenese. In general, the wines are extremely elegant, grippy, with crisp acidity, plenty of pressure, delicate fruit and a lot of character.
