Elisa Carpanese: A New Chapter in the Colli Euganei
Elisa Carpanese is married to Filippo Gamba, the owner of the Alla Costiera winery in the Colli Euganei. While Filippo grew up among the vines, Elisa’s journey into the world of wine only began after meeting him. Initially, she balanced a 40-hour job outside the wine industry, raising children, and handling the administrative side of the winery. Recently, as her children have grown older and she left her previous job, Elisa has embarked on her own winemaking project.
Although it would have been easy to market her wines under the “Alla Costiera” name, she chose to take full responsibility for her creations, establishing her own identity in the wine world. This decision is well-justified: her Bora Bianco, a blend of Tai Bianco and Riesling, stands confidently among the best white wines of the region.
Tasting Notes
The Bora Bianco is inviting and invigorating, showcasing aromas of white flowers and fruit, subtle herbal notes, and delicate minerality. On the palate, it is textured, juicy, taut, and linear, with a balanced and persistent finish.
