There is no shortage of animals in the world of wine. Many of them roam the vineyards, some - mostly small ones - animate the soil, while others are at home in dry stone walls. We don't know any winegrowers without dogs, but many also have horses, cats, sheep or goats at home. In Italy, there are also a whole host of grape varieties that owe their name to birds: Corvina (from corvo - the raven), the number one grape variety in Valpolicella, is perhaps the best known, but Corvinone and Rondinella (rondine - the swallow) are also among them. So it's no wonder that animals of all kinds can be found on the labels of many winegrowers. We have combined some of these wines into a package that spans from the far north of Italy to the far south.
