The Còntame completes Nevio's trio of different Garganega styles. He complements the immediately pressed Dilètto and the sparkling Gargante with an interpretation that has been in contact with its skins for the first fortnight. This gives the wine additional structure and a taut and powerful dimension.
The grapes for the Còntame are fermented spontaneously and without temperature control. The subsequent ageing took place over 18 months in cement cisterns. The wine was neither fined nor filtered.
The Venetian dialect expression Còntame translates as "tell me something" and that is exactly what the wine does. Its story includes herbal notes and orange peel, ripe yellow fruit, a gripping mid-palate with tightly woven tannins and a substantial body and a harmonious finish supported by a gentle acidity.
