Le Pretelle is a single position based on limestone and pebbles with old sagrantine life, from which Francesco Mariani gets the quintessence of what the grape variety has to offer. And that's a lot. Sagrantino lacks nothing - if you read it at the right time and this is generally rarely before mid -October, she has more tannin and sugar in her grapes than any other grape variety in Italy. There is also a steering acid and a lot of extract, which all requires after a long expansion time.
At Francesco Mariani there are around seven years that the wine spends in barrel and bottle before it comes onto the market. And even after that, he is just at the beginning of a potentially long life. He proudly bears the 16 percent alcohol, knowing that they are in good hands in the compact corset of tannins, acidity and flavors. The "Le Pretelle" basically smells of plums, mature cherries, sweet spices and flowers, but also releases a variety of other flavors with a little air. The texture is fabric, the body to be powerful without fat, the finish lush, fruitful and impressively.
