Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc. That sounds like internationally standardized fadess. In this case, however, this is great, completely individual, origin-related, fiery and fine fabric far away from soft-washed Bordeaux blends.
Aleks Klinec ’meticulous work in the vineyard continues in the basement, where the three grape varieties are initially separated, but all are expanded in old 225 liter barrels made of cherry wood. After a year everything comes together in large barrels from Slavonian oak and can mature for three more years.
The result is a profound, juicy wine, powerful, body-emphasized and vertically at the same time, worn by mature red fruit and spicy-dark aromas.
