Riesling, but so much more: "planted, picked, crushed and bottled with our own hands. With love, family and friends, with fresh air and lots of fun." That's what Olympia and Hannes from the roterfaden winery say.
And that's actually enough.
But we'll add a few more sentences. Quite simply because we see the future in this Riesling: that of Riesling and Württemberg wine culture in general.
We briefly discussed whether we should use the word anti-Riesling here in the wine description. But basically, of course, this is fundamentally wrong, because this is Riesling that is different, but actually exactly as it should be. Clear, precise, mineral, easy to drink and immensely lively. A Riesling that is totally indifferent to stone fruit notes, but in which, if you listen deeply, you can taste the shell limestone soil - and also the energy and passion that Olympia and Hannes have put into the care of their vines and the development of their grapes.
Fermentation is spontaneous, of course.
