Nocenzio is a fresh and dynamic red wine from Cupramontana, a region in the heart of the Marche, where the tradition of crafting light red wines with short maceration exists alongside the area’s more substantial whites. Made from Montepulciano, Sangiovese, and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is fermented spontaneously in whole bunches, with skin contact for 7-12 days. It’s aged for six months in stainless steel, bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Corrado Dottori describes Nocenzio as a lively, unpretentious wine that should be enjoyed fresh, ideally in large sips. Its vibrant and juicy finish makes it an invigorating experience.
Style
From the very first sip, the wine showcases deep fruit aromas: sour cherries and wild berries, which are gradually complemented by juniper and underbrush notes. It is open and accessible, impressive and lively. Rather than a long, steady flow, it feels more like a dynamic, rushing stream. The finish is juicy and vibrant, leaving a lasting impression.
