Referring to Pinot Noir in Germany without calling it Spätburgunder is a statement in itself.

The Pinot Noir by Hannes Hoffmann and Olympia Samara stylistically aligns more with French interpretations than with the often overly velvety German versions – yet it distinctively reflects its origin: its deep, clear fruit is cool, the tannins are very fine, and the structure is juicy, light-footed, playful, yet serious.

The grapes for this wine come from the steep shell limestone terraces above the Enz river, fermented in open wooden vats and aged in used barrels.
