Italy has around 700,000 hectares of vineyards spread across all 20 regions. The geological and climatic differences are eminent. There is more than just one world between South Tyrol and Sicily. In addition, there are around 500 different grape varieties, countless viticultural traditions and a multitude of excellent winegrowers who interpret them in their own personal way. So there is a lot to discover. In our range, we pay tribute to this diversity and combine it with personal preferences - knowing full well that we can unfortunately only offer a fraction of what would actually be worthwhile.

Everybody is forgiven who has never heard of the Pascale grape variety - also we only knew about it from hearsay. But then Eugenio Bocchino and Cinzia Pelazza decided to add a few hectares of vineyards in Gallura, Sardinia, to their Barolo vineyard and make a red wine from Pascale in addition to ...

Cuvées with Sagrantino have been produced for centuries. Its gripping tannins, full body and variety of flavours predestine it for this. The C.C.C. is the most daring of Daniele Ricci's many Timorasso variants. The name itself bears witness to this: the C.C.C. stands for "come un cane in chiesa", "like a dog in church", and thus subtly indicates that we are dealing with a wine that has been vinified beyond classic conventions.  I...

The idea was as well-intentioned as it was obvious. When Giovanni Dalmasso crossed Nebbiolo and Barbera in his laboratory in 1938, he wanted to combine the best attributes of the two dominant Piedmontese grape varieties: the fragrance and intensity of Nebbiolo with the vibrancy and freshness of B...

Like few other Italian grape varieties, Lagrein is suitable for rosati that not only want to convey freshness but also depth. The reason for this is the thick, dark, extract-rich skins, which release colour, aromas and tannins even on brief contact with the juice.  Martin Gojer's Lagrein vines a...

Filippo Gamba reliably produces top-class wines. His two interpretations of the Terreni Bianchi - from white, i.e. chalky soil - on the western foothills of the Colli Euganei are excellent examples of this. The white version is taut, straightforward and profound and the same can be said of the f...
