Italy has around 700,000 hectares of vineyards spread across all 20 regions. The geological and climatic differences are eminent. There is more than just one world between South Tyrol and Sicily. In addition, there are around 500 different grape varieties, countless viticultural traditions and a multitude of excellent winegrowers who interpret them in their own personal way. So there is a lot to discover. In our range, we pay tribute to this diversity and combine it with personal preferences - knowing full well that we can unfortunately only offer a fraction of what would actually be worthwhile.

One of the great discoveries of the last vinnatur trade fair. Funambol is probably the best white wine we have ever tasted from Emilia. Camporenzo has been one of our favourite wines from Valpolicella for many years. It comes from the chalky vineyard of the same name above San Pietro in Cariano. Moscato Bianco has been at home in the Colli Euganei for centuries, in Filippo Gamba's vineyards for at least 60 years. There, it takes root in lime-dominated soils and produces small, full-bodied berries. In Terreni Bianchi, these share the protagonist role equally with Garganega, the most impor...

The reason for this is the thick, dark, extract-rich skins, which release colour, aromas and tannins even on brief contact with the juice.  Martin Gojer's Lagrein vines a...
