Italy has around 700,000 hectares of vineyards spread across all 20 regions. The geological and climatic differences are eminent. There is more than just one world between South Tyrol and Sicily. In addition, there are around 500 different grape varieties, countless viticultural traditions and a multitude of excellent winegrowers who interpret them in their own personal way. So there is a lot to discover. In our range, we pay tribute to this diversity and combine it with personal preferences - knowing full well that we can unfortunately only offer a fraction of what would actually be worthwhile.

A few decades ago, Coste della Sesia still had a few hundred hectares of vines, but today there are a whole thirty. The reason for this was not the quality of the wines, which have been repeatedly praised in the annals of local viticulture since the 14th century, but the general rural exodus that...

Silvio Messana once said that his Chianti Classico 2011 represented a personal reference point for his involvement with the great wine style of the region. He recognised in it what he had always associated with a Chianti Classico - elegance, balance, slenderness, length, verticality and delicate ...

The Camaleonte (Chameleon) is - as the name suggests - a somewhat unusual rosé. In contrast to the usual practice, it is not a red variety that is briefly macerated, pressed and vinified, but rather wines that are already finished are cuvetised and blended into one big whole. Fabio Ferracane use...

Autoclaves or pressure tanks represent the industrialisation of Lambrusco in both symbolic and concrete terms. They can be used to produce sparkling wines quickly and cost-effectively. Their quasi-universal introduction in the 1950s led to a multiplication of production, but also to a standardis...

Soracuna is a classic Bardolino in the best sense of the word. Most of its grapes come from pergolas that are over 50 years old and whose roots have dug deep into the morainic subsoil. The grape varieties are the usual suspects of the region: Corvina, whose fruity aromas and fine tannins provide ...

The somewhat intimidating name of the wine should not deter anyone from trying the white base of Tenuta Saiano. We guarantee that the vinified remnants of the winery stand far above many other less honestly labelled entry-level wines - which is mainly due to the fact that the Maggioli family's vi...

Romagna is Sangiovese country. Some believe that this is where the great central Italian grape variety originated - and not in Tuscany. In Valmarecchia, the home of Tenuta Saiano, it has been planted for centuries in a soil whose mixture of chalk, sandstone and clay gives the variety tension and...

One of the great discoveries of the last vinnatur trade fair. Funambol is probably the best white wine we have ever tasted from Emilia. Moscato Bianco has been at home in the Colli Euganei for centuries, in Filippo Gamba's vineyards for at least 60 years. There, it takes root in lime-dominated soils and produces small, full-bodied berries. In Terreni Bianchi, these share the protagonist role equally with Garganega, the most impor...
