Italy has around 700,000 hectares of vineyards spread across all 20 regions. The geological and climatic differences are eminent. There is more than just one world between South Tyrol and Sicily. In addition, there are around 500 different grape varieties, countless viticultural traditions and a multitude of excellent winegrowers who interpret them in their own personal way. So there is a lot to discover. In our range, we pay tribute to this diversity and combine it with personal preferences - knowing full well that we can unfortunately only offer a fraction of what would actually be worthwhile.

The lasupperiora beats a bridge between the delicacy and subtle fruit aromatic of the Soracuna - the entry -level wine of the Villa Calicantus - and the substance and profoundness of the Avresir, the red flagship of the winery. His vines planted in 2010 roots in stony-lime-led terrain in the hig...

Marsala is hot and dry. As the crow flies, it is the same distance to Tunis as it is to Catania. People move slowly and work until ten o'clock in the morning in summer - after that, the sea breezes hardly help. Catarratto has few problems with the heat. On the contrary. The variety really comes i...

The démodé is- unlike the name suggests- an experiment that Massimiliano Lanza von Pruneto believes that it is currently even closer to the beginning than at the end point. This may be so and lets a lot expect for the future, but you can already state that the start has been successful.  The exp...

Pinot Nero has an astonishingly long tradition in the Veneto. This has a lot to do with the lively exchange between monasteries, which founded a kind of World Wine Web in the Middle Ages and brought Pinot Noir (and a few other grape varieties) from France to the most remote corners of Europe - i...

One of them is owned by Alessandro Winkler, who decided in 2012 to add winem...
